Gabe and Alayna Reimer established Reimer Acres in 2022 when we took over the farm created by Gabe’s grandparents, Don and Nancy Reimer. After nearly two decades of hibernation, we are revitalizing the blueberries and bringing them back to full vigor and production. It’s an ongoing process, and each year you will see something new as we accomplish another step that revives this small blueberry farm.
Our Philosophy
It is our objective to combine the older style of farming, monocropping, with the increasingly accepted approach that nature works best as a complex system. We do not use any pesticides, fungicides, or herbicides. We depend on the fertility of our land and the cooperation of diverse organisms that make up our little ecosystem. We want our food to require very little intervention, and be as clean as nature intended.
